The stomach of betta fish is not larger than its eye balls. Don't provide excess food anyhow.
Try to soak dry food because some of these may expand after being wet.
Floatable pellets are good for the betta tank. 3-4 pellets or a pinch of brine shrimp is good for them.

Pellet is not an only option. You must try different varieties. For example live bloodworms, larvae, insects etc.
Frozen meats such as mysis shrimp can be another option as a food for betta.
