Neon tetras are very peaceful but active community fish. They need tank mates to be healthy. They are mid-dwellers.
They are hardy & but can show aggression if they feel unsafe.
Neon tetras should be kept in a group.
At least 6 number of neons are good to keep them healthy.
A minimum of 15-gallon tank is recommended for 6 number of neon tetra
They are mid-dwellers so they need ample spaces to swim freely.
A well-planted tank is preferable for neon tetra. Bare bottom tanks may not work well for them.
Neon tetras love black water. So try to imitate this for them.

Neon tetras don't need any specific filtration system. Just focus on the GPH rating of the filter. It should be 4X= tank size
E.g. 15-g = 60 GPH
Neon tetras are not very fond of bright lights. Their natural habitat in the wild isn't like that.
Low-medium light is preferable. However, neon fries are sensitive to lights
Balanced flake food. Sinking micro-pellets.
Dried or frozen bloodworms. Frozen brine shrimp (for fries)

Neon Tetra Disease - It is a disease caused by parasites. It becomes fatal to your tank. It spreads too fast.
White patches are the 1st symptom of NTD. Quarantine medication trio is a suitable option to cure them.
