Harlequin Rasboras are very peaceful but very active community fish. They show extraordinary shoaling behavior. They are mid-top dwellers.
They are very hardy fish & suitable for beginners.
Harlequin Rasboras are shoaling fish. At least 8-10 numbers of Harlequin Rasboras are good to keep together.
A minimum of 10-gallon tank is recommended for 5 numbers of Harlequin Rasbora
A well-planted tank is preferable for Harlequin Rasbora. Ample hiding places & floating plants are good for them.
Dark substrates are good for them.

Harlequin Rasbora doesn't create lots of waste. So Powerhead Filter can be a suitable choice for them.
The intake of this filter isn't strong like other filters. So for small species this filter is good.
Harlequin Rasboras don't need any special type of lights. Common aquarium lights for 8-10 hours are good for them per day.
Try to add plenty of live plants to reduce the light intensity.
