Fancy Guppies are very peaceful but very active community fish. They need tank mates to be healthy. They are mid-top dwellers.
They are very hardy fish & suitable for beginners.
Fancy Guppies should be kept in a 3:1 (Female: male) ratio.
It helps males to become less territorial & improve the breeding process.
A minimum of 5-gallon tank is recommended for 3 numbers of fancy guppies
Wide tanks are preferable than tall tanks for guppies.
A well-planted tank is preferable for fancy guppies. Ample hiding places & floating plants are good for them.
Substrates are not mandatory for them. They prefer hard water to live.

Fancy guppies don't create lots of waste. So Corner Box Filter can be the suitable choice for them.
The intake of this filter isn't strong like other filters. So for small species this filter is good.
Guppies don't tolerate bright lights for a long time. 8-10 hours of light is good for them per day.
Excess lights may damage their immune system. So it is not recommended.
